I started my real estate career in Lafayette back in 1996. Prior to that I worked in real estate while living in Myrtle Beach back in 1984. With my start in Lafayette, I began working for a local builder and worked solidly in new construction for many years. Certified in the new construction process as well as licensed for residential real estate, I’ve been a full time realtor ever since.
I am a graduate from Purdue University with a BS in Environmental Science (emphasis on Health/Nuclear Physics – which was the study of nuclear reactors and radiation). I also acquired business management training with a Michigan based firm and have several years of experience in management and business. I’ve obtained several real estate certifications with my years of education in real estate including but not limited to the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Representation (ABR), New Homes Sales Specialist, Relocation Specialist, Luxury Home Specialist and Short Sale Specialist and a graduate from the Indiana Realtor Leadership Academy. I also have served for the last several years on the Lafayette Real Estate Board of Directors
I have maintained a high status in the real estate community for the past 20+ years. I’ve also been designated as a 5-star Top Ranked Realtor for several years – a rare accomplishment in this industry!
I was awarded the 2016 Professional Standards Award and was elected as 2016 Distinguished Realtor and 2016 Five-Star Realtor Award recipient for top quality service in high-end market. In 2015, I was President of our Lafayette Board of Realtors that presides over 500+ realtors in our area. In that same year, I was awarded the “Realtor of the Year” for our Lafayette Board. In addition I was elected into the National Association of Professional Women and featured in an issue of Top Agent Magazine. I have served on several boards including the Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC), Public Relations Committee, Grievance Committee, Finance Committee and the State Legal Forms Committee, to name a few. I have participated in the support of the American Cancer Society, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Lafayette Transitional Housing as well as personal private contributions to those local individuals in need.
On a personal note, I have 3 children that I am very proud of…they all provide me with a very rewarding and well-rounded life.
The Lafayette community has been my home since 1991 and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed becoming entrenched within the community. I’ve raised my children here and plan to make this my home in retirement…someday! Not yet! Still, a lot of work to do!
